Rail trip to Western

How do Sheldon and I spend our Saturday? Well not like this.... There is only one place I rather be then bed on a Saturday! I met  with friends in Weston-super-mare on the sea front. Now your jealous..... I saw Donkeys........

With the Q6 Edge 2.0 being with me for so long and the summer here, the sand festival was the place to go!

As this was not a photography trip, I left my DSLR at home and took Ipad. I found the iLevel a great for getting the full picture and not annoy  my friends by going up and down all the time.

A Day Trip to London

I found myself heading into London at 6am, a time which I feel should not exist. Lucky Sheldon can do the first part of the journey to the station!

The Q6 Edge 2.0 made me more confident that I could cross London on my own. Using iLevel would help me see sighs to platforms  and to avoid  hurting people as people cant always see you when you a 3ft tall.

So as I got off the train at Waterloo, I engaged iLevel, it went down the ramp safely. I was able to see the flow of people going on direction and see the people I need in order to help me get to the right place..............
Now was the highlight of my journey, the tube. This regardless of my mode of mobility was the most nervous part of it. For this was the second time I used the tube, the first I used it as a multi-train joinery

But to my amazement, unlike the train service I just drove on the tube. Well squeezed on to it! Thanks to this I was not required to disengage iLevel which meant I could communicate to the others when I needed to get off!

Who have thought it me in London on the tube, where will I go next?

A Snapshot of iLevel

With the Q6 Edge 2.0, it does make you see the world differently. The chair helps you to interact with the world around you. I guess within reason it will help you to go for walks in the outdoors but I can on assume because I do not partake in such activity.

But what I do, do is photography and I can say the Q6 Edge 2.0 aid my photography. I can not only use the iLevel to take short from, well eye level. I can also adjust my seat to get it a comfy position to take perfect photos without worrying about the stability of the chair.

I also found that I could find the right level to get the right picture that I want like this:

Q6 Edge 2.0 in the workplace

Having opportunities and keeping stimulated is the aim for most people, even when you have a disability. But how do you get across that despite being a wheelchair user you can perform all sorts of duties? Well... thanks to the Q6 Edge 2.0, I don't need to rely on colleagues to help me with anything.

Not only is the iLevel an advantage when reaching for for something high..........

................ But it's also useful when transferring in and out of my chair when I need to be on the floor with children. The Q6 Edge 2.0 seems to be closer to the floor so  getting in and  out is not an effort as it once was.

All these opportunities has won me many nominations as volunteer of the year, Although I'm sure it my personality that got me the award. But I know that the Q6 Edge 2.0 allowed me to attend these events and talk eye to eye with people.

The Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0

Helping me reach new limits...

Wednesday 6 January 2016

Another year over, but I've got the iLevel now.

The party season has ended.
But thanks to iLevel, I have been much more able to be included in the whole event.

Not only was I able to dance at the same iLevel as everyone else (and not get sat on.)
My Q6 Edge 2.0 gave me the confidence to commutate and interact with more people I don’t know.

...And for the people who do know me, they are really proud of everything I have achieved this year.

It was time to show what the Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 could do for people who use a wheelchair... but maybe I should start with the manual.
At first the seating took a bit of getting used to, not just for driving but for eating and drinking.
But after working out why i was having trouble doing so, a small change to my seating made eating my turkey easier.
One of the highlights to the season was seeing my friends and getting to show off my Q6 Edge 2.0. As well as having a well deserved break.

I hope you all have a good 2016 and may you reach all your goals for the coming year.

Wessex Warries, A Day Out

I have been playing powerchair football for 5 months now.
By nature I am a very competitive person, so naturally I love the game. But it's an expensive sport, the club own the chairs for us to use, 8 in counting. So we look for sponsorship and we've been very lucky to receive this from AFC Bournemouth.

And we got a tour of the site as well. The iLevel did surprise me how at versatile it was, It could not be useful when you’re among other wheelchair users.
I could easily wait at the back and still see what was going on.
This not only made me feel part of the event but it helped increased my concentration, I would normally only use one sense but now i could use two, my eye and ears.

The Q6 Edge 2.0 also allowed me to take photo's of where the players were when they speak and analyse there performance on TV.
This was pretty awesome and if I was in my old chair, I would have been too low and missed out on this moment.

Our purpose of being there was to have a team photo, the first time I did this my iLevel was useful due to being at the back.
This shot I got someone to take, In which I moved forward to bridge a gap.

Lets party!!

What will my chair be like when I am 80?
I hate to imagine but my top end Q6 Edge 2.0 is a game changer, when at my grandmother's surprise 80th birthday party. I really appreciated what the iLevel could offer me.
- I was also hoping that I pressed the right button at the right time.

I was given the job of photographer for the day, as this is my favourite past time. I also took it upon myself to greet the guests, as I do a lot with my grandmother and I know her friends. Both of these tasks required me to be on iLevel.

Before I just accepted the fact that everyone had to bend to communicate with me and I realised that I would just talk to be polite, but now I was holding my own conversations.

It was great being able to photograph people and not looking up at my subjects.
I even got one of my grandmother cutting the cake.

But the best bit was being able to lead my grandmother up to the food table linking arms.

I am now on the same level, Thanks to iLevel.
